Acrylic Distemper

Kaveri Paints ColorCare Acrylic Distemper is a water-based distemper which is known for its quality and provides walls a SMOOTH finish and a matte look. It is available in various attractive shades.

Acrylic distemper provides long-lasting durability and offers higher retention values. It dries up fast and so completes the paint job quite early. It is very popular for its “easy to clean” and “washable” features.

This distemper provides a uniform matte look. It is compatible with the dirt over the walls as it can be wiped off easily.

Direction of Use

SURFACE PREPARATION

For fresh/new surfaces, sand the surface with emery paper no. 80 and wipe clean. Apply the first coat of primer and allow it to dry for 6–8 hours. Smoothen the surface by applying a thin layer of putty to fill all the dents. Allow it to dry overnight. Sand the surface with emery paper 100 and wipe clean. Apply the second coat of primer and allow it to dry for 6–8 hours. Sand the surface with emery paper 220 and wipe clean. Now you will have a smooth surface for the application of the acrylic distemper.

APPLICATION

Slowly add water to distemper paste, mixing the contents thoroughly. Normally, 500–600 ml water is required for 1 kg of distemper. Apply 2–3 coats by brush, roller or spray with an interval of 4–6 hours between coats.

PREVIOUSLY PAINTED SURFACE

Strip all the old paint and remove all the loose particles before starting the surface preparation and the application.
