Premium Red Oxide Primer

Kaveri Paints MetaCare Premium Red Oxide Primer can be used in paints and primers as a rust preventive. If traces of rust are present on an iron surface, this red oxide paint will still adhere, as it interacts with the surface by forming chemical bonds to give a long-lasting coat and helps improve the top coat.

This paint imparts a shiny, new look to surfaces painted with this finish. It is highly resistant to household stains, serving as a protective armour around the painted surface. It delivers a mirror-like gloss to your doors, windows, grills, and gates.

Direction of Use

CLEANING

Sand the surface with emery paper 180 and wipe clean. Ensure thorough cleaning of corroded areas by suitable means.

THINNING

Kaveri Paints MetaCare Premium Red Oxide Primer to be thinned with turpentine oil to obtain brushing consistency. Thin 1 litre of primer with 50–80 ml of mineral turpentine oil. Apply one single coat and allow it to dry for 6–8 hours.

PUTTY (OPTIONAL)

Smoothen the surface by filling the dents with thin coats of putty filler. Allow it to dry for 4–6 hours. Sand with emery paper 180. Wipe clean.

THINNING

If putty filler has been used, apply a coat of Kaveri Paints MetaCare Premium Red Oxide Primer to avoid patchy appearance. Allow it to dry for 6–8 hours. Sand with emery paper 320 before application of top coat.
